Recently I have had a little bit of extra spare time on my hands and managed to look at some other photographers work. I stumbled across some pictures in a book that were taken on Infrared Film. I remembered playing around with some B&W Infrared film myself about 20 years ago and wondered if the same results could be achieved with a modern digital camera. After a bit of research and a lot of messing about, I have created this picture of Saxon Mill, recording only the infrared light. The reflected infrared light works very differently to how normal visible light would, because it travels on a different wavelength. This created all sorts of problems from working out the exposure and the correct point of focus. I hope you like the picture and I look forward to re-shooting it in the summer when there is more foliage on the trees to increase the ghost white affect in the greenery across the picture.
